WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 74 year-old Coopersville man is dead after the tractor he was using Saturday morning rolled and pinned him causing injuries.
The incident happened about 10:30 a.m. in Wright Township.
The victim, 74-year-old Donald Lowing, was clearing weeds in a ditch along the 4300 block of Cleveland Avenue in Wright Township. Lowing jumped off the tractor to clear some weeds when the tractor, which had a scoop bucket mounted on the front, rolled forward.
The tractor's scoop bucket pinned the victim in a ditch and gave Lowing traumatic head and upper torso injuries.
Lowing was pronounced dead at the scene.
