GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) - A 72-year-old from who stole money from Grand Haven church offerings has entered into a plea deal.

Joseph Finnigan has pleaded guilty to two charges of larceny of $20,000 or more.

As part of a deal with prosecutors, one count of embezzlement of between $20,000 and $50,000 will be dropped. That is a 10-year-felony.

Finnigan will be required to pay $120,000 in restitution before his April 22 sentencing date.

Finnigan, who worked for St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grand Haven for years, was originally arrested in November 2012 after he admitted to having taken the money over a long time period. He was fired.
