GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The driver of a Lamborghini that crashed and burned was cited for careless driving, a police report obtained by 24 Hour News 8 revealed.

On Aug. 25, Paul Cares was driving his $430,000 sports car on I-196 near Holland at more than 100 mph. A pickup truck in the next lane was driving at a similar speed.

Cares lost control and hit some trees. The car caught on fire and the car was turned into a burned, crumpled pile of metal.

Other drivers stopped to help and pulled him from the car. Cares suffered a minor head injury.
