Johnson Controls schedules job fair

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) - Johnson Controls has scheduled a job fair to fill 100 positions.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 27 at the Grand Haven office of Ottawa County Michigan Works! in the D&W Plaza -- 1830 172nd Ave.

Johnson Controls is a global leader in automotive seating, interiors and electronics.

The positions are for material handlers, mechanical technicians, maintenance, and quality technicians. They are permanent, direct-hire jobs with benefits starting upon hire.

The jobs are for "B" shifts -- Tuesday through Friday 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. -- and "C" shifts -- Friday and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Sunday and Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The starting wage for "B" shift is $10.80 per hour. The starting wage for "C" shift is $10.95 per hour.

Applicants are asked to bring their resumes. They are welcome to use the computers at the Michigan Works! office to create/update their resume and print hard copies. There is also free WiFi.
