COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Coopersville-based Continental Dairy Products will hold a job fair next month.
It will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 2 at 708 O'Malley Dr. in Coopersville.
Officials with the new state-of-the-art milk processing plant will be looking to hire 47 new employees. The open positions include milk receivers, evaporator/dryer operators, packaging operators, warehouse operators, quality assurance technicians, maintenance technicians and supervisors. Wages for these positions range from $14.68 to $22.30 per hour, and new hires will receive a full benefits package.
Interested applicants are asked to apply online in advance.
There will be other required paperwork to fill out at the job fair, including a paper application if applicants have not applied online or do not have convenient access to that service. Applicants are asked to bring an updated resume, job history or references to the job fair.
There will also be an opportunity to visit with Continental Dairy Products staff to ask about the company and any of the open positions.
This spring, Continental Dairy Products will begin production of non-fat dry milk, condensed milk and cream for the food manufacturing industry. The new employees will join the existing staff to facilitate full production.
"We are very excited to begin this process," Kathy Antuma, personnel manager for Continental Dairy Products said in a news release. "We have been in the design and construction phase for over two years and we are looking forward to opening our doors for business in our new facility. We are eager to find the very best employees to help us achieve our production goals."
Continental Dairy Products bought the former Delphi Corp. plant at 999 W. Randall St. in Coopersville and opened there last spring. Continental received $31 million in federal stimulus bonds to help with the transition.
