JENISON, Mich. (WOOD) - A 60-year-old Jenison woman has not been seen since Sunday afternoon, though her vehicle was found near the Grand River.
Gail Masselink was last seen on Dec. 23. Her vehicle was found in a parking area at the dead end of 12th Avenue on the south side of the Grand River in Ottawa County.
When they found her car, police said it was unlocked and the keys were still in it. They also had GPS ping on her cell phone, but they have no other clues.
The Ottawa County dive team used side-scanning sonar equipment in the Grand River Wednesday afternoon near where her car was found.
Volunteers from the West Michigan Search and Rescue combed the woods and the shores of a number of smaller lakes in the area.
Her son, Austin Masselink, and some friends also joined the search.
"Theres no evidence of anything. There's no scrap. We never found a coat or a scarf or a show or anything and so all the possibilities are on the table and anything is as likely as anything at this point," he told 24 Hour News 8. " No nothing, nothing to go on, nothing to make you feel better, nothing to make you think she's out there, nothing to make you think she's here. Nothing at all."
Officials said there is no indication at this point of foul play.
