GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities in Ottawa County are looking for the person driving a vehicle that hit and injured a bicyclist.

James Vainner, 53, of Jenison said he was riding east on Baldwin Street near 28th Avenue in Georgetown Township about 3:45 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by a car.

That car then fled the scene, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.

Vainner suffered injuries to a leg and was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.

The car, Vainner told authorities, was a black or dark-colored sedan. The sheriff's department has not yet released any more information on the vehicle.
