WEST GLACIER, Mont. (WOOD) - Authorities at a Montana national park are looking for a Hudsonville man who went missing over the weekend.

Jakson Kreiser, 19, never returned from a hike at Glacier National Park in Montana on Saturday.

Kreiser is a seasonal employee at Lake McDonald Lodge at the park, according to a park release. This is his first year working in the area.

Rangers found Kreiser's vehicle at a visitor center parking lot at the park, where they believe he planned to start and end his day-long hike from Logan Pass to Avalanche Lake.

Authorities, including the park rangers, Flathead County Sheriff's Department Mountain Rescue Team and US Border Patrol, searched by ground and air on Sunday and Monday.

About 50 people are helping in the search.

Jakson Kreiser's brother told 24 Hour News 8 his parents are now in Montana trying to figure out what happened.

He also said that Kreiser had only enough rations for a one-day hike and doesn't have the survival skills to survive for an extended period of time. The family is concerned, he said.
