Some students say they're not worried by gangs

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Though the arrest of dozens of alleged gang members in Holland made the area feel cleaner, taggers spray painted their message on one resident's garage.

One of those message was immediately obvious: Holland Police Department Killers.

But police said they're not done and are actively seeking other alleged gang members. It's an urgent issue for authorities battling the gang problems that were getting worse.

But some students said they deal with the gangs at schools but don't take them seriously.

"They bark," one student said, "but they don't bite."

But Holland police said they've seen the bite and are moving quickly in various areas - including getting the spray-painted tagging cleaned up.
