PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - One house was evacuated and 160th Avenue was briefly closed after a gas leak was discovered in Park Township.

Authorities sent crews to the area of 160th and Perry Street around 10:30 a.m. The gas line was shut down by Semco, the gas company, and crews were cleared by 2 p.m.

Around 50 customers were without gas at one point. The gas is being restored home by home, as the gas company must check and re-light each house. Everyone is expected to have gas restored later Monday night.

Semco is investigating the cause of the gas leak.
