Holland Township, Mich. (WOOD) - A Holland Township apartment building sustained some major damage after a fast-paced fire burned the roof off.
The four affected units are at Countryview North Apartments in the 2900 block of Country View Lane off Riley Street.
Holland Township firefighters at the scene told 24 Hour News 8 the fire burned through the roof and upper floors of the structure, and smoke and water damaged the rest of the building.
Firefighters from Holland and Park townships used at least 10 pieces of equipment to douse the flames, which burned for more than an hour.
24 Hour News 8 talked to a neighbor who went knocking on doors to make sure no one was trapped in the building, but no one was inside.
Officials are still trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
