HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Quick work by firefighters prevented a fire on an apartment balcony to spread into the Holland residence.

Everybody in the third-floor Crown Pointe Apartment escaped without injury when the fire sparked around 2:55 a.m. Friday.

None of the residents were displaced from the complex on Matt Urban Dr. near 48th Street and Washington Avenue.

The balcony and some siding of the building were damaged, resulting in about $6,000 in costs.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, however it is not believed to be intentional, authorities said in a news release.
