HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Fire officials are investigating what started a fire at a Holland bowling alley Tuesday morning.

It started about 9 a.m. at Century Lanes and Creekside Bar and Restaurant, 435 Century Lane.

Firefighters from three departments arrived and saw heavy smoke and flames above a refrigeration unit in the kitchen area between the ceiling and roof.

Holland Fire Captain Chris Tinney told 24 Hour News 8 there is significant smoke and water damage to the kitchen area.

No one was inside the building when the fire sparked.

One of the owners of the business told 24 Hour News 8 at the scene she does not know the extent of the damage or when the business may reopen.
