HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A man leaving a bowling alley nearly became a robbery victim in the parking lot of the business.
Holland Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched at 2:09 a.m. Tuesday
to Century Lanes, 435 Century Lane, in Holland.
The victim was walking out to his car north of the building when a stranger approached him, police said.
The suspect -- wearing a ski mask and all-dark clothing -- threatened the victim by brandishing a knife and demanding the victim empty his pockets, according to a news release.
The victim ran back toward the building and the male suspect fled the scene westbound on foot across the street, police said.
No other descriptors of the suspect are available at this time.
The victim was not injured and the suspect did not steal any money.
A Holland police K-9 unit tracked the suspect but could not find him.
