JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Three teenagers suffered minor injures after their car collided with a garbage truck at an Ottawa County intersection Tuesday morning.
It happened at 7:19 a.m. at 16th Avenue and Riley Street in Jamestown Township.
Lauren Schierbeck, 17, from Jamestown Township was driving north and stopped at the stop sign, police said.
She then drove into the path of a garbage truck, police said, and that her vehicle's windows were foggy at the time.
Schierbeck was taken to a hospital as was a 15-year-old female passenger from Jamestown Township. A 14-year-old male passenger from Jamestown Township did not need medical treatment at a hospital.
The driver of the westbound garbage truck, 23-year-old Trevor Potjer from Grandville, was not hurt.
Everybody wore their seat belts.
