HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities have arrested the man they say broke into a Holland Township home, tied up a resident and stole electronics.
Israel Pacheo-Gutierrez, 22, was arraigned on charges of first-degree home invasion and unlawful imprisonment.
The charges stem from an Oct. 22 home invasion at Windmill Estates mobile home park in the 300 block of E. Lakewood Boulevard. Around 8 a.m., according to Ottawa County Sheriff's Department Lt. Mark Bennett, a suspect entered a home, where he tied up and blindfolded an 18-year-old resident.
The suspect then stole TVs and electronic games, Lt. Bennett said.
Soon after the suspect fled the house, the victim was able to get free and call for help. The victim wasn't hurt, Lt. Bennett said, but the suspect implied he had a weapon.
Authorities canvassed the neighborhood, which garnered information that led to an arrest a few days later. Authorities recovered about $2,500 in stolen property.
Pacheo-Gutierrez was booked into the Ottawa County Jail on Oct. 26. He remains lodged there.
Authorities say more arrests are possible.
