Teen shot when dad drops gun

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - An 18-year-old from Ottawa County was shot by his father when he dropped a gun just before 5 a.m. Friday.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department began their investigation after receiving a call from Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids. The teen arrived at the hospital needing treatment for a gunshot wound he said happened at a home in the 1000 block of Leonard in Tallmadge Township.
The teen will be kept for observation at Saint Mary's, and the incident remains under investigation.
