COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - Continental Dairy Products, Inc. -- a milk cooperative with 28 member farms in the Midwest -- selected the former Delphi plant on Randall Street for a new milk processing plant.

The move will bring 70 new jobs and an investment of about $100 million into the community.

As many as 100 milk trucks will use Randall Street each day. That stretch from 68th Avenue to the plant, which is currently in poor condition, is being repaved. The project will include new concrete pavement, along with curbs and gutters.

Construction will begin in 2010 and should be completed before the plant opens in 2011. The estimated cost of these transportation improvements is $402,000, including $321,600 in state funds.
