Chicago man's body found in Lake Mich

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A Chicago man drowned in Lake Michigan while attending Labor Day festivities with friends at a Holland beach.
Paul DeTrano's body was found around 4 p.m. Monday by the Ottawa County Sheriff Department's search team. He was 36.
An autopsy determined the cause of death. Investigators told 24 Hour News 8 there are no signs of foul play and no obvious signs of injuries to DeTrano's body. They also said alcohol was not a factor.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from Traverse City spotted DeTrano's body about 200 yards from shore in about 11 feet of water.
He was last seen at 1:30 p.m. Sunday while swimming with two other people, a friend told 24 Hour News 8. The group was renting a beach house near the 4700 block of N. Lakeshore Drive.
DeTrano was set to graduate from law school in December.
"He was feeling really positive about that, really excited about being done and looking for other opportunities," Kathleen Friend told 24 Hour News 8.
