HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - In a Hudsonville courtroom Wednesday morning, a young man pleaded guilty in connection to a drunk driving crash that killed two Wyoming Park High School students.
Shane Harlan, 18, who hosted the party where teens had been drinking before the crash, appeared in the district court and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of allowing minors to consume alcohol, a crime punishable by up to 30 days in jail.
Harlan will be sentenced July 12.
The group of teens left the Allendale Township apartment after security stopped by.
The car they were in crashed, killing Timothy See and Krysta Howell. Driver Takunda Mavima is facing eight felony charges and could serve prison time. Mavima waived his preliminary hearing last week in Wyoming, sending that case on to circuit court.
