One person died in this crash in Chester Township (Nov. 13, 2009)

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - One person is dead and three people -- including two children -- were critically injured in an accident at 24th and Wilson in Ottawa County late Friday afternoon.
A Toyota went through a stop sign and then was broadsided by a Chevy Suburban. The Toyota was split in half and the driver, Thomas Hammond, died. Hammond was 61 and from Sparta.
The driver of the Suburban, Michelle Tressel, 38, was critically injured. Her two children Chelsee Bursma, 14, and Carlee Bursma, 8, are in serious condition. They are all from Conklin.
