Holland band travels to Normandy
50-member band to perform on D-Day

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - The 65 year anniversary of D-Day is this weekend and the Holland American Legion Band plans to perform in memory.
The 50-member-band boarded a bus in Zeeland Thursday morning heading to the airport and then to Normandy.
Before the group's send-off, Holland Mayor Al McGeehan spoke of the sacrifices soldiers made years ago.
The band, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, plans to perform several times during their trip.
