GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Grand Haven man pleaded guilty June 1 to involuntary manslaughter and second-degree vulnerable adult abuse in the death of Amber Carey.
William John Masselink lived with Carey. She died Feb. 23 after battling multiple sclerosis.
According to the complaint filed at the time, Masselink failed to give adequate nutritional, physical or medical care to Carey, 34, or purposely failed to get her medical treatment.
Masselink, 45, will be sentenced July 12.
