GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) - A film crew transformed Grand Haven into Virginia Beach on
Thursday as it became a set for "What's Wrong with Virginia,"
starring Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris.
In the film, Connelly plays a single mother involved in an
affair with the local sheriff, played by Harris, who is campaigning
for the state senate.
Grand Haven City Manager Patrick McGinnis brought his
10-year-old daughter Mary to work to watch the crew film at Grand
Haven City Hall. It remained open for business.
The film boosts the lakeshore economy, McGinnis said.
It will be shot in about 30 locations in the Holland and
Grand Haven areas.
