GVSU slashing was domestic dispute

ALLENDALE, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Valley police say that an April 13 slashing incident was a domestic dispute.

The incident happened near Lake Michigan Hall on the university's Allendale campus. A woman who is not a student was cut on the arm.

The victim and witness to the incident retracted their original statements and said the fight happened in an apartment. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

Grand Valley Police are turning over the file to the Ottawa County prosecutor's office.
