ALLENDALE, Mich. (WOOD) - A Grand Valley State University swimmer is in serious condition at a hospital after being hit by a car while on his bike.
Family members confirmed that Michael Griffith of Brighton was hit by a car around 6 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of Pierce Street and 48th Avenue on the west edge of the college's campus in Allendale.
His aunt told 24 Hour News 8 he "is making progress" in the hospital, as he was originally admitted in critical condition.
