COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - The Indiana-based dairy company transforming the former Delphi Corp. plant will receive a significant financial boost with federal stimulus bonds.

Ottawa County commissioners on Tuesday approved using all of its $31 million allotment to help Continental Dairy Products.

In April, Continental announced its plans for a $90 million project to convert the Delphi plant into a facility capable of producing powdered milk. The plant is set to open this spring at 999 W. Randall St. and should create 70 jobs over two years.

Continental Dairy was selected from among four projects that submitted applications for the stimulus bonds.
