HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man was arraigned Monday on six charges in connection with shooting a gun at his parents' house following an argument.
Christopher Walters, 42, was charged with careless use of a firearm, discharge of a firearm in a building, felon in possession of a firearm, interfering with an electronic communication device, malicious destruction of property, and being a habitual offender (fourth offense).
His bond was set at $250,000 and he remains in the Ottawa County Jail.
Walters and his parents got into a fight Feb. 15 at their home near 132nd Avenue and Pine Oak Drive in Holland Township, police said. Walters then went outside the residence and fired a shotgun. Nobody was hit with bullets.
Many police agencies searched for Walters who fled the scene. He was arrested the next morning at the residence.
