Car with green light strikes pedestrian

18-year-old male was trying to cross 136th Avenue

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - An 18-year-old male is in serious but stable condition after being struck by a car Tuesday.

Carlos Quintana was walking west along James Street in Holland Township and tried to cross 136th Avenue around 5 p.m., police said.

A 33-year-old Holland Township man driving south on 136th Avenue had a green traffic light. Quintana walked out in front of his car and was struck, police said.

Quintana was taken to Holland Hospital. The driver was not hurt.
