OD suspect: Men 'meant the world to me'

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - A man who may be linked to two recent apparent heroin overdose deaths was arraigned Monday for violating probation in connection to heroin usage.

Blake Windham allegedly used heroin on March 1, which is the night before Jordon Bauer was found dead at a residence in the 4400 block of Stable Drive in Jamestown Township.

Cory Dykstra was found dead at that same residence a few weeks before.

That residence is owned by the 28-year-old Windham's father, who calls his son a "renter."

In November 2012, a third person, in that same circle of friends, was found dead in Grandville. Authorities are not connecting this third death to those other two deaths. While this death was a drug overdose, authorities do not believe the drug was heroin.

But many questions linger regarding possible specific charges against Windham, connected to the deaths.

Windham spoke with 24 Hour News 8 as he left the jail after posting bail Monday.

"They weren't customers. I'm not a drug dealer by any means. They were my best friends," Windham said. "Cory and Jordon meant the world to me. They were my best friends for well over half my life each."

He offered sympathies to the families of men who died.

"I can't imagine what you're going through and I'm so sorry," he said.

Authorities have received many tips about what happened at that residence when Bauer and Dykstra died.
