HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - James Zalsman, accused of stealing an Ottawa County Sheriff's Department cruiser, will stand trial after waiving his preliminary exam Tuesday.
On October 9, he allegedly stole the cruiser while the deputy was out of the car responding to a domestic disturbance call in Robinson Township. After a short chase, he was surrounded by other police and he surrendered. Zalsman damaged five patrol cars.
He was arraigned Oct. 12. No trial date has been set.
