PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 32-year-old man is in critical condition at a Grand Rapids hospital after authorities say he was stabbed multiple times by his roommate late Friday night.

Just before midnight, Ottawa County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of 144th Avenue in Park Township. They found the victim who had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and neck area.

Authorities say the victim and the 17-year-old suspect were arguing before the stabbing occurred. Another roommate tried to stop the fight and called 911.

The suspect fled as authorities arrived at the scene, but was arrested around 4 a.m. Saturday at a relative's home.

The names of the suspect and victim have not been released.
