WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Four people were injured in an accident at 24th Avenue and Cleveland Street on Sunday.

The crash occurred at around 4:18 p.m.

Sister Mary Jeannette Chiasson, a 78-year-old nun from Ravenna, either ran a stop sign or pulled out in front of traffic, crashing into a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Elizabeth Ashley Moradi, of Grand Rapids.

Chiasson and her passenger, 76-year-old Sister Peter Mary Korson, were injured and transported to the hospital. As of 9:40 p.m., Chiasson was in serious condition. She was not conscious when she was taken to the hospital, investigators say.

Korson and Chiasson were part of Saint Catherine Church of Ravenna. Chiasson is the pastoral associate.

Moradi and her passenger, 22-year-old Robert Craig Czarniecki, of Standale, suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. They, along with Korson, were listed in stable condition.

The young couple was returning from a wedding.

Investigators will continue to look into the crash.
