TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A Tallmadge Township man was injured Wednesday after his tractor rolled over on him.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. at a farm in the 10000 block of 2nd Avenue between Fennessy Street and Lake Michigan Drive in Ottawa County near Walker.

James McClurken had parked his tractor on the east side of his property near a corn crib, authorities said. He got off the tractor, which then began to roll. He tried to climb back on but was unable to do so, becoming caught under a rear wheel.

McClurken, 78, was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital via ambulance in critical condition.

Authorities were on the scene for more than an hour.
