HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. (AP) - There's a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for more than $50,000 in damage to a building at Boyne Highlands resort in the northern Lower Peninsula.

The Emmet County sheriff's department says the vandalism was discovered Saturday morning to a comfort station near Harbor Springs, about 55 miles northeast of Traverse City.

Sheriff Pete Wallin says the destruction is shocking and senseless. Investigators are seeking tips as they seek to make arrests in the case.

Sheriff's office manager Kim Ostwald says Boyne Highlands is offering $1,000 for leads that produce arrests in the case.
