GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Hundreds of moms, nurses and cancer survivors participated in a "stroller brigade" Tuesday at the US Capitol. The group is rallying in support of New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg's "Safe Chemicals Act" to overhaul obsolete laws governing toxic chemicals.

He said current laws allow too many untested chemicals on the market, many of them in baby products, and things you use every day. Other senators also support the act.

Polly Schlaff, the mom from Manistee who spoke at the National Stroller Brigade for Safe Chemicals, joined 24 Hour News 8 to provide more information about the bill.
