PIERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The sketch of a "person of interest" in the double homicide of a Pierson Township couple was put together from accounts by a passerby at the time of the crime.

Michael and Kathleen Greene were found dead in their Pierson Township home on Oct. 28. A fire occurred in the residence prior to their bodies being discovered. But authorities say the couple did not die as a result of the blaze. Police told 24 Hour News 8 it was a possible "targeted act."

The Montcalm County Sheriff's Department would like information that will help identify a man, from the sketch, who they say was seen during the early evening hours in the area the day the Greenes died. They say he was driving a smaller, light colored, passenger vehicle. The man is white and is believed to be the lone occupant in the vehicle.

Police believe the suspect or suspects may have known the Greenes since they have not discovered any items missing from the house.

Witnesses can call the Montcalm County Sheriff's Department at (989) 831-7516 or (989) 831-7590.
