GOLDEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A Minnesota man died at a hospital two days after being rescued from a Michigan lake during a swimming incident.
Vikrant Kole, 26, from Woodbury, Minn. passed away Tuesday at a Grand Rapids hospital, police said on Thursday.
Oceana County Central Dispatch received a call at 6:45 p.m. Sunday about a swimmer in distress at Silver Lake near Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Golden Township.
Rescue crews arrived and were told Kole disappeared under the water.
Divers found him under water at 7:21 p.m. and brought him to shore where he had a pulse.
Aero Med then transported him in critical condition to a hospital.
