MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A teenager was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Mecosta County.

Michigan State Police troopers responded around 7 p.m. Thursday to Stanwood Road near Pierce Road in Mecosta Township.

That is where a 15-year-old girl was walking south and struck by a southbound, black pickup truck, according to a news release.

The victim was transported to the Mecosta County Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

If you have any information about the vehicle involved you are asked to contact the Michigan State Police Post in Mount Pleasant.
