GOLDEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A couple were killed after the powered parachute they were in crashed.
It happened just after 6 p.m. Friday at Silver Lake State Park in Golden Township, according to the Oceana County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called to the scene of what is called "Test Hill" and found Henry and Carol Austin who both died upon impact.
Henry Austin, 66, was piloting the powered parachute.
The couple from Shelby owned the Shelby Paraflite school.
The crash remains under investigation.
