WHITE CLOUD, Mich. (WOOD) - A couple killed in a crash Friday on M-20 are being remembered for their strong involvement in the White Cloud community.
A family member told 24 Hour News 8 that Dale and Carol Cruzan were the victims who lost their lives in the two-vehicle crash.
The couple were in their early 60s.
Carol Cruzan was a para-pro for White Cloud Public Schools for more than 30 years before she retired. She was working at the library.
Her husband, Dale, worked at NARCO in White Cloud for more than 30 years . He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
A family member confirmed the couple were involved in a crash on M-20 near Elm Avenue east of White Cloud. The Newaygo County Sheriff's Department is investigating wreck that resulted in both vehicles going off the road.
24 Hour News 8 made several calls and sent e-mails to the department during the weekend, but have not heard back from deputies as to what caused the crash or what role the second vehicle played.
Visitation for the Cruzans will take place Tuesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. A memorial service is planned for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the White Cloud United Methodist Church.
