RAPID RIVER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kalkaska County man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting his 60-year-old neighbor.
Jack Lambath, 61, broke down the door of his neighbor's home in the 8200 block of Country Road in Rapid River Township on Saturday, according to the Kalkaska County Sheriff's Department.
Lambath then shot his 60-year-old neighbor Claudia Roberts with a high-powered rifle, authorities said.
Roberts was airlifted to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for treatment and is listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
After his arrest, Lambath was hospitalized for a possible drug overdose, the sheriff's department said.
