BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - At least three people have died in Michigan while riding off-road vehicles during the long holiday weekend.

Authorities say the latest is 40-year-old Matthew Sly of New Era who was riding with two passengers when he tried to make an abrupt stop and rolled his vehicle Sunday in Mecosta County.

Across the state, two men from Fraser died in separate incidents Friday and Saturday in Alcona County. The Alpena News says 47-year-old Adam Schwab was ejected from his off-road vehicle.

In the other crash, a vehicle driven by 66-year-old William Weir collided with a sport utility vehicle. Three other people riding with him were injured.
