GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - An Osceola County woman has been sentenced to 30 years behind bars for producing child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 32-year-old Andrea Marie Mast of Evart was sentenced in the U.S. District Court on Wednesday.
Mast was arrested in December 2010 after Evart police and child protective services discovered that Mast had taken explicit photos of a 7-year-old girl and sent them to a man, Timothy Sims, in November 2010, a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Further investigation revealed that Mast had offered to let Sims sexually assault the victim if he paid her cell phone bill. It also found that she had also taken explicit photos of the child in 2006.
Mast pleaded guilty to state charges in May 2011 and was sentenced to 7 to 20 years in prison for the 2006 offense. She pleaded guilty to federal charges in September 2011 for the November 2010 offense.
Mast will also pay $6,780 in restitution and spend the rest of her life after she is released from prison on parole.
Her federal sentence will run concurrently with her state sentence.
Sims pleaded guilty to receiving and possessing the photos in October 2011. Charges for attempting to produce more images of another victim are pending. according to the U.S. Attorney.
