ROSCOMMON, Mich. (AP) - A northern Michigan man who escaped while being transported to jail has been captured after a week on the run.
Everett Robinson was discovered in a deer blind Monday in Roscommon County. Police say he was being returned to the county jail from court in another county last week when he grabbed a deputy's gun and took control of the car. The car was eventually abandoned, and he fled on foot.
Robinson was a suspect in a home invasion. Mlive.com says he was released from prison last summer after serving a sentence for criminal sexual conduct.
