TURNER, Mich. (AP) - New census results show the smallest village or city in Michigan is Turner, population 114, in Arenac County.

Village clerk Yolanda Miracle says there's a grain elevator and a church but no gas station or store. The post office is open 20 hours a week but is likely to close.

Turner is 50 miles north of Bay City and 10 miles west of Lake Huron.

Miracle says she's always lived in Turner. Her 92-year-old father is village president and her husband is village treasurer. Two other married couples serve on the village board.

Miracle predicts that Turner eventually will be absorbed into the surrounding township. Despite its size, the village still plows snow and decorates Main Street every Christmas.
