FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The Fruitport Township Police Department needs your help identifying a man accused of assaulting another man at a Walmart store.
The incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Feb. 18 at the business at 1879 E. Sherman Blvd., according to a news release.
The suspect used a shovel to repeatedly hit the victim inside the vestibule area of the store, police said.
The suspect then fled the store, and the victim was treated and released from a hospital
Police don't think this was a random act, as the victim and suspect know each other.
The victim is not cooperating with police and the investigation.
Police released surveillance photos of the suspect on Feb. 26.
