MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - Eddie Wilson's mother appeared in a Muskegon courtroom Monday morning "for one reason and one reason only, and that is justice for my son."
Wilson, 24, was shot in the head while he was sitting in a car at the sons of Norway Lodge by Steven Hendricks in 2011.
Wilson worked as a custodian at the Sons of Norway and was waiting for a party to end when Hendricks pulled the trigger.
"I am asking for the maximum penalty," Wilson's mother said in the courtroom. "(Hendricks) shot my son, who was also my best friend. I can never get him back."
Hendricks was sentenced to a minimum of 22 1/2 years in prison for the second-degree murder.
