Police: Woman robs, punches 83-year-old

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - Muskegon police are looking for the woman responsible for robbing and beating an 83-year-old man.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. Saturday, according to the Muskegon Police Department, in the man's neighborhood in the area of Parslow Drive and Barclay Street.

The victim told police that a woman came up to him as he was walking, beat him and then stole his wallet.

Witnesses saw the woman punching the man. The woman fled when they called out, they said.

The 83-year-old sustained two lacerations to the head and was taken to the hospital by witnesses. His wallet is still missing.

The woman is described as a 5-foot-8 black woman with a medium build. She was wearing a red jacket, black pants, white shoes and gloves and had her dyed red hair pulled into a ponytail at the time of the incident.
