FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Investigators continue to search for the cause of a fire that damaged a Fruitport Township business Monday night.
The fire sparked about 9 p.m. at Metric Motorsports, 4482 Airline Road, and was doused about 10:30 p.m., though heavy smoke could still be seen in the area.
Firefighters from Fruitport Township, Norton Shores and Muskegon Township were at the scene, and when they first arrived they said the business was engulfed.
The building appears to have sustained significant damage.
Metric Motorsports sells ATVs, scooters and motorcycles, according to its website. Fire crews were able to save about $1 million worth of products from the business.
There were fire hydrants in the area and no one was injured in the fire.
